Short Style Analysis| Jennifer Lawrence
Jennifer Lawrence is a well known romantic natural or "soft natural"(according to Kibbe).
She looks at home in both sensual/mature style, and casual and athletic style. But she also has a somewhat sleepy or dreamy quality about her appearance. She is very flattered by ethereal style, and has the ability to pull off styles with lots ethereal essence that others without ethereal would not be able to pull off at all.
She is still good in the clothing above because of the natural essence in these outfits but not as good as when she styles herself almost all romantic.
Jennifer also appears to have some gamine. She can handle some busyness, "boyishness" and staccatoed lines in her outfits. She looks good in shorter hairstyles as long as they have enough curves to match her romantic or ethereal essences.
Jennifer definitely has gamine but it isn't one of her primary essences. It's secondary, since when she goes too gamine it does nothing for her and she looks too soft/mature for it.
Jennifer does not appear to have any other primary or secondary essences. Classic is underwhelming on her.
Ingenue is does not her flatter at all.
She looks overwhelmed in dramatic styles.
So from my observations she has three primary essences: romantic, natural, and ethereal, with romantic being the strongest of these three primary essences. I say Romantic is the strongest of these three primary essences because if she dresses with absolutely no romantic at all the "look" falls flat.

So I can comfortably say Jennifer Lawrence's primary essences are romantic, natural, and ethereal(in that order of importance) and her secondary essence is gamine.
Can you make an article about article Tertiary elements to your outfit? Like ingenue or gamine tertiary?
ReplyDeleteJennifer Lawrence is flamboyant natural by kibbe because of her height. However she has an ingenue face and like you described this put her overall essence in a somewhat soft natural category first and all the genereal style recommendations for SN work very great for her.
ReplyDeleteShe doesn't have an ingenue face though. As demonstrated in this article, her softness comes from the presence of a Romantic and Ethereal essence so yes, her face looks really soft but not due to Ingenue. There is youthfulness to her but it comes from her Gamine essence.
DeleteI don't think she's Kibbe verified though. Also I don't think she's Soft Natural. She has verticality + width which means she's Flamboyant Natural. Jennifer Lawrence is curvy, yes, but that doesn't automatically say she's Soft Natural. Any Kibbe type can be curvy therefore so can FNs.
ReplyDeleteAll naturals have vertical plus width, FN is just more emphasized compared to SN. SN looks more moderate compared to FN and softer overall. SN fits JLaw perfectly.
