What is Krysten Ritter's style essence? Part One.

Krysten Ritter is an actress, writer, and former model.
Celebrities, like most people wear what is in style with no consideration towards whether or not they're flattered by their clothing. But I like typing celebrities because their mistakes and successes in style can be used as examples for non-famous people, that sometimes have a hard time grasping style essences. If you want, you can see my list of typed celebrities here. Krysten Ritter is a little different than most, a lot of the time, she actually wears what looks good on her.  This has made typing Krysten much easier than most celebrities. Typing Krysten was not a long process and was pretty clear cut. In Kibbe's system Krysten is a dramatic, I do agree with this but not completely. I already typed Krysten, but I wanted to to show you a process. Here she is in dramatic style.

This is pretty good but something still looks off. She looks a little bit overpowered by these looks. She looks stiff. Krysten is a dramatic, just not a pure dramatic. A pure dramatic wouldn't look like that. Maybe it's because she is a natural?

Okay, she definitely does not have any natural. Natural styles make her head look small, and drown her body. Instead of making her look relaxed and casual she looks sharp, mousy, and rigid. So yes to dramatic and no to natural for Krysten. But pure mature masculine types never look overwhelmed wearing each other's clothing, they might look wrong, but not overwhelmed. Classics are easily overwhelmed by clothing. Is she a classic?

Krysten is not a dramatic classic, she looks boring instead of elegant in the first picture and the hair in the second picture is not cutting it. But that gray dress kind of makes Krysten look cute, I would even say youthful. Is Krysten a gamine?

Looks like Krysten is a gamine, despite her long, strong, and sinewy body type. She looks normal in gamine styles. So far we have dismissed natural and classic, and have confirmed dramatic and gamine. In part two of this post I will dismiss or confirm the three remaining essence possibilities: ingenue, romantic, and ethereal.
